 Lesson 11 Paul's Writings Objective: To be convinced that the tongue, hand, and mind of a child of God must be used for the glory of God. Memory Verse: Colos 1:28-29 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end, I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. Introduction: The biography and the writings of Paul are highly valuable for believers. His epistles are fundamental to the doctrines of the Church. Let's study "The Epistles of Paul" and gain a general idea of the epistles in common. There cannot be a Biography of Paul without touching the voluble writings (Epistles). Most Part of the New Testament is made up of Epistles that the apostles wrote to churches and pastors. Of the 27 New Testament books, 21 are epistles. The doctrines of the New Testament churches are set forth in the Epistles of Paul. We get the historical background needed

 Lesson 10 Imprisonment at Rome and End Objective: To be convinced that being with Christ absent in the body is far better. Bible Portion: Phil. Chapter: 1, 2 Tim. Chapter: 4 Memory Verse: 2 Tim: 4: 6-9 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. Be diligent to come to me quickly; Introduction: How did Paul reach Rome? Why? Recollect the previous lesson. On reaching Rome, Paul was imprisoned. At first, he was granted some liberty. He evangelized the visitors and soldiers there. As a result, the gospel was spread even in the palace of Caesar. Some of the soldiers of the cruel Nero were also converted.  Lesson 8  Paul In Prison Bible Posrion: Acts 21: 17 - 26:32 Memory Verse: 2 Cori 12: 9 - 10  And He said to me, " My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." There for most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.  Introduction :  Paul, who did his ministry extensively worldwide, was imprisoned for the gospel's sake. We will study in this lesson the reasons for his imprisonment as well as his ministry in bounds. Paul was presented before many kings. We will also study how Paul appealed to the Emperor and was thus sent to Rome.  Paul at Jerusalem : We will learn about the imprisonment of Paul, who worked with freedom until now.  Lesson 7 -  The third missionary journey (A.D. 54-58) Bible portion: Acts 18:23 to 21:16 Memory verse: Acts 20:24-27 But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more. Therefore I testify to you this day that I and innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.  1. The specialties of this journey: While both the former journeys terminated at Antioch, this journey terminates at Jerusalem. Unlike the former journey, Paul took longer to stay for ministry in one place at Ephesus during this journey. Four of his most famous epistles (1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, and Romans) were written during this journey.  2. The Churches in Asia Minor re-visited.  P

     Lesson 6  Pauls's Second Missionary Journey - Part II Bible Portion: Act. 17 -18 Ch Memory Verse: Rom. 17: 19 - 20  And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus saying, "May we know what this new doctrine is of which your speak? For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean."  Introduction: This is the continuation of the previous lesson. In this lesson, we will learn about the places further visited during the second missionary journey. The special events and achievements during the journey are noteworthy. We will also study details about the epistles written during this period.  Let's study about 4 main centers of work during the second missionary journey. 1.  Lesson 5  Second Missionary Journey of Paul Objective: To fulfill our responsibility to preach the gospel in Jerusalem, Judea, and to the uttermost part of the world by avoiding all obstacles.  Bible portion: Acts 15: 16 Memory verse: Acts 26: 19, 20 " Therefore King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.  Introduction:  Paul started his second missionary journey just after the first Jerusalem council. So Gospel reached Europe. Paul began writing epistles during this time. We should understand the chief place and events in the Journey, and the epistle was written then.  The 15th chapter of Acts deals with the first church council at Jerusalem. The council was held by apostles, elders, and the entire church in making decisions of circumcising the Gentiles coming to faith.

 LESSON 4 First Missionary Journey Objective:    God has chosen Paul, the enemy of Christ to carry the name of Jesus to the people of different races.  Bible Portions:   Acts 13:14 Memory Verse:   Rom 1:14-16 I am a debtor both to Greeks and barbarians, both wise and unwise. So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.   Introduction:   Paul was called to preach the gospel to the cultural ones in his time. So he made three missionary journeys. This lesson will help us to get a basic knowledge of Paul's journey, his places of visit, and his companions.  Paul's Missionary Journeys God appointed Paul as an apostle to the Gentiles.  Lesson 3  Early Ministries and Preparations  Objective:   God intends a ministry that is entirely according to his will. It needs the right preparations and practice.
